Tony Cañas, an Insurance Evangelist, recently brought his passion for supporting the insurance industry with great talent to Goodwin Recruiting as a Recruiting Partner. He has been active in the insurance industry since 2009 and has competed several designations, including CPCU, AU, AIC, ARM, ARe, ASLI, API, AIS, and AINS. He has also earned Toastmaster’s Competent Communicator and Advanced Communicator Bronze public speaking designations. Having worked in claims, underwriting, finance and sales at four different insurance carriers, six cities, and five states, he has gained a broad understanding of the industry.

Tony has been very involved in the industry’s effort to recruit and retain Millennials and has become a well-known speaker, blogger, and best-selling author. He is also passionate about the Insurtech sector and runs Profiles in Risk, the largest podcast in the Insurtech space. He also hosts a YouTube channel dedicated to exploring Insurtech organizations through unscripted interviews with members of their leadership team. On top of these endeavors, Tony is extremely active in the industry through associations such as the CPCU. Tony received both his bachelor’s degree and MBA from Iowa State University.
